The only thing the app stores is your preferences: the chosen unlock gesture, blackout mode, screen off when the display is covered, the automatic unlock timer, vibration and language. They stay in the app's private storage on your device, are never sent anywhere, and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

The blocked touches counter only lives in volatile memory during a lock session and is never saved.

Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — needed to show the window that absorbs touches, which is the app's own purpose. That window reads nothing of what is underneath: it simply receives the touches instead of the app below.

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — needed for the ongoing notification, which tells you the lock is active and carries the Unlock button, one of the ways out of the lock.

Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE) — keeps the lock alive until you turn it off.

Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK) — used only to turn the display off when the proximity sensor is covered, if you enable that option.

The app requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage or phone permissions.

To suspend the lock when a call comes in, the app watches the system audio mode (on Android 12 and later) or the call state (on earlier versions). It only reads whether a call is in progress: it never accesses the phone number, the caller identity or the call log.

Uninstalling the app removes the stored preferences with it. There is no copy anywhere else.
